*Job Description*
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled SAP Basis Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SAP Basis administration and core IT infrastructure concepts.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform SAP Basis administration activities including system monitoring, user management, and transport management
* Support SAP systems across development, QA, and production environments
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot SAP, OS, and database-related issues
* Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management
* Maintain system documentation and operational reports
* Assist in managing SAP systems in cloud and on-premise environments
* Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure system stability
*Required Skills & Qualifications*
* Knowledge of Operating Systems (Linux fundamentals / advanced)
* Understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, firewalls, ports, ping, traceroute)
* Familiarity with Databases (Oracle or any other RDBMS)
* Awareness of enterprise applications and their layered architecture
* Good grasp of ITIL concepts (incident, change, problem management – even at a high level)
* Exposure to or understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python – optional but valuable)
* Logical thinking and basic troubleshooting mindset
* Strong analytical and documentation skills
* Understanding of cloud computing concepts
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of SAP architecture and trained in SAP Basis administration
* SAP Basis certification or training will be an added advantage
